The little person in the rogues gallery is my niece…and the thief of my heart
I may be the only person you’ll ever meet who has seen ABBA live in concert
I may or may not have fallen off a treadmill….
My sponsored guide dog puppy ‘Legend’ got pulled for bad behaviour..dog after my own heart
Fairy lights, Flamingos, Flamenco, Chardonnay, cherry blossom trees, free wheeling down a mountain, wide open skies and Irish winter beaches put me in a very happy place.
I have a life-long obsession with Stevie Nicks
I was once a radio DJ…love music..but public speaking..forget about it!
I am mesmerised by Drag Queens
I can not walk in high heels…a spectacle that didn’t go unnoticed by Drag Queens
I swear eloquently…especially at pigeons
Shop floor mannequins freak me out
No pockets in a shroud..Passport stamps are my favourite possessions
I’M NO (insert expletive word loudly) SHRINKING VIOLET ..sometimes even the most ladylike of Mothers crack. I miss her everyday.
THE FULL IRISH…
Before the days of digital my arty French teacher showed me how to develop a roll of film…and that was me, celluloid struck, with my own aspirations of becoming ‘something or somebody arty’. However these notions were sidelined pretty swiftly by a career guidance teacher who really didn’t rate photography as a proper job. So after dodging the option of an apprenticeship in a nunnery, I got the proper job. I trained as a Nurse and have spent many years working in a London Intensive care unit. After a long stretch of travelling I returned to what I loved most and did a foundation degree in Photography. Since then I’ve been tripping the light fantastic, through every first look, every first dance and with the occasional de-trousered groomsman tensing his quads through the formals.
Photographs provide an endless source of mockery for the next generation -YOU KNOW that hipster ‘face furniture’ of yours is going to get it in years to come! As well as time warping you to your glory days, photographs future proof your memories and become your most prized possession when you’ve lost a loved one. The family and friends that you have gathered around you on your wedding day are priceless and the value of those photographs will increase overtime as circumstances change and time passes. My approach to wedding photography mirrors my relationship with family photo ‘heirlooms’ and my career in healthcare - the people that you love, their personalities, antics, dress-sense, dance moves, drinking prowess, quirks and foibles are all that matter. The cake gets eaten, flowers thrown, the dress trashed but your parents faces through the best man speech needs to be immortalised forever!
